Beyond Tymps and Ipsi Reflexes
For those in need of additional tests beyond tympanometry and ipsilateral acoustic reflexes, the Path Medical Sentiero Desktop is also available in a diagnostic model (shown below). This middle ear analyzer offers a comprehensive battery of immittance tests including multi-frequency tympanometry, reflex decay, and ETF tests (item# 100497-ED). A popular configuration of this model includes a combination middle ear analyzer with diagnostic OAE capabilities (item# 100497-US7). Skip Most Immittance Tests but Keep Diagnostic OAE
Some providers pursuing additional equipment for their practice need a combination tympanometer and DPOAE unit although they don't necessarily want a full-blown middle ear analyzer. Another popular configuration of the cream-colored Sentiero Desktop model is a screening tympanometer (tymps + ipsi reflexes) with diagnostic OAE capabilities (item# 100497-US11). Although this specific unit is not shown, it looks exactly like the two Sentiero Desktops appearing in the image below.

The screening DPOAE unit is built on a modular platform, allowing users to expand screening capabilities to also include pure tone air conduction. This flexibility has made it the equipment of choice for screening programs mandating pure tone and DPOAE screening protocols.
