- Instrument designed solely to accomplish better examination and instrumentation of the ear via the use of coincident lighting
- Unique new optical system found only the Hotchkiss® Otoscope triple condenses the light of the bulb's filament
- Otoscope model which is often referred to as the "Gun Handle Type Otoscope" carries its power supply (2 Alkaline "AA" Cells) in the clip on the handle
- Handle is easily removed for replacement of batteries when necessary
- Light emanates from the speculum tip along the line of vision. Illuminated area and viewed area are one and the same
