Auri Two Channel Transmitter

Product Code: AURI-TX2N

Auracast™ is a new Bluetooth® capability that enables an audio transmitter to broadcast to an unlimited number of receivers with no pairing of devices! Selecting a broadcast is much like choosing a Wi-Fi network, the user simply selects the desired Auracast™ channel to hear that broadcast.  Auracast™ is a new standard for Bluetooth low energy audio (BLE).  As next-generation hearing aids, hearables, and consumer devices featuring BLE audio come to market, access to Auracast will increase exponentially.

The Auri TX2N transmitter is the first on the market to utilize Auracast broadcast audio.

Auri™ is ideal for classrooms, lecture halls, boardrooms, houses of worship, theaters and more.

It works by connecting an audio source to the Auri™ TX2N transmitter, the Auri™ transmitter then broadcasts the audio and the audio is accessed on a dedicated Auri™ receiver (item AURI-RX1) or any Auracast-enabled hearing aids or audio devices.

Q: What is the standard range of the Auri™ Broadcast system?

A: Each Auri™ TX2N transmitter broadcasts over 100 meters (328 ft) in all directions. If more coverage is required, the system can be expanded with additional TX2n transmitters in the repeater mode. Range will vary depending on environmental factors and other receivers such as earbuds or hearing aids may perform differently to the Auri RX1 Receiver.

Q: If I have Auracast™-enabled hearing aids/cochlear implants, how can I connect the transmitter?

A: It depends on the hearing aid/cochlear implant manufacturer, but most will allow you to connect via their designated app. The TX2N transmitter would appear in the Bluetooth® pairing lists so you’d simply have to connect to the desired source.

Q: When can we expect to see hearing aids and other audio technology with Bluetooth® Low Energy capabilities?

A: Many audio manufacturers are implementing Auracast™ based technology within their devices. Adoption rates will vary, but many are coming to market this year.

Q: How many receivers can connect to a broadcast?

A: The number of users that can connect is unlimited if they are in range. It is a true broadcast technology, and the number of people choosing to listen at any given time has no impact on the transmitter or other receiving devices.

Q: How many channels can Auri™ support in the same space?

A: Each Auri™ TX2N transmitter supports up to two channels but they can be daisy-chained as many times as needed.

Q: Has the latency improved with Auracast™-based products?

A: Yes, the Auri system supports latency as low as 30 ms, depending on certain broadcast settings. Latency will vary with other receivers such as earbuds or hearing aids.

Q: How are the transmitters powered?

A: A single ethernet connection supports PoE, network/PC connection. Or a USB-C port is available to accept power from an optional power supply, rounding out the standard connectors.

Q: What are the audio inputs?

A: A concealed side-panel offers two balanced analog mic/line audio inputs for the two radios.  This combination offers an array of routing and configuration options, including single stream mono audio, true stereo audio, and dual mono streams with separate audio (e.g. content or language).

Q: Is Dante® available?

A: Yes, the standard TX2N does not come equipped with Dante® but they are readily available. An optional version of the transmitter adds a Dante® network audio interface.
